FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Dr. Robert HillGuest speaker for September 2007Sep 2007 -- Dr. Robert Hill, as a Battelle Public Health Program Manager for its Atlanta Analytical Services operations, provides oversight and liaison for tasks under multiple contracts with CDC’s National Center for Environmental Health for support of analytical research services relating to biological monitoring and laboratory services. Dr. Hill has 30 years experience working in and managing laboratories, including extensive experience with quality control programs and meeting CLIA requirements for reporting results of analysis of specimens from human subjects. Dr. Hill’s experience includes working for more than 30 years in environmental and occupational health and safety at the CDC including experience included leading and performing laboratory research and development for detecting and measuring exposure to toxic chemicals (NCEH and NIOSH); partnering in numerous multi-disciplined national and international public health investigations, and managing an occupational safety and health program that provided oversight and direction for safety and welfare of the CDC workforce in all of its many workspaces. He has more than 95 publications to his credit, held offices in national scientific organizations including serving as a member-at-large and Chair for the Division of Chemical Health and Safety of the American Chemical Society, serving as a past member and past President of the NRCC, serving as a reviewer and editorial board member for scientific journals, received numerous awards in public health, and delivered numerous presentations to national and international scientific and public audiences.
